Save a sick or declining tree when others say to cut it down?  Yes.

Plant Health Alternatives, LLC, offers its Green Centrics™ system for fixing stressed or declining trees and other plants from the inside-out.

A Green Centrics practitioner:

  1. Finds out exactly what functions are not operating correctly inside of the tree by using a proprietary scientific checklist combined with subtle sensory awareness and right-brain intuition skills.

  2. Repairs those functions using methods similar to modern, alternative human health care hands-on techniques.

  3. The tree’s Life Force or growth energy pattern shifts from a decline/shrinking pattern into a growth/expanding pattern.

Its health is thus restored from the “inside-out.”
This is outside-the-box thinking. But, if you gain some understanding of how “new sciences” apply, the leap is not too far.

Alternative Health Care
The Green Centrics™ system is a professional service, much like alternative health care for people.  If you are familiar with Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Reiki or Touch-for-Health™, then you know that those systems have different philosophies but are complementary to modern medicine.

Alternative Health Care for humans offer a holistic approach to health that works to rebuild inner functionality by removing blockages, re-connecting functionality, adjusting structural alignment and re-directing patterns of energy flow.  A majority of people who have had cancer have included some form of alternative approach to assist their recovery.  Many hospitals even offer classes in yoga and meditative practices on-site.

Why not alternative health care for trees and other plants?

Trees and Plants are Alive!

[Page 165, The Web of Life, Fritjof Capra, PhD.]

At Plant Health Alternatives, LLC, we believe that trees and all plants are living organisms: they are alive.

Even though very different in structure and physiology, trees and other plants share a similar fundamental cellular biology with humans.  All cells have walls, internal structures and operate based on energy exchanges and patterns.  Aggregates of cells–systems–must interact in coordination with other systems for the benefit of the whole.  This is the same in all living organisms.

If you do not believe that a tree or plant is–at some level–alive, then you will have trouble thinking outside-the-box to understand the Plant Health Alternative approaches.  It’s a holistic approach that asks you to have an open mind and set aside some of your assumptions about how plants–and even the world–works.

The Tree’s Problem
A tree is like an orchestra: multiple functions interacting in sync and in tune.  Any of 12 stressors can usually stress a tree by compromising its internal functionality.  Usually, three or more stressors will generally cause decline in a tree.

Example: Let’s say that extreme cold might compromise a tree’s circulation–that’s the movement of fluids up and down in the xylem and phloem.  In this scenario, the tree’s roots can’t up-take water and nutrients properly so water and nutrients don’t get up to leaves.  Then, the tree can’t make enough foods in the leaves–using photosynthesis.  Since the circulation is not operating correctly, that lesser amount of food is not being distributed properly throughout the tree.  Without food, new growth can’t occur at the growing tips.  Without robust new growth, the downward cycle repeats itself.

All this adds up to a weakened tree, likely to go into decline.  The inner workings of a tree are a web of interacting and inter-dependent parts and functions which need to be–like an orchestra– in tune” and “in sync” for the tree to be healthy.

Your Problem
Conventional tree care uses “outside-in” products and techniques to treat trees.  Whereas products such as fertilizers and sprays are appropriate for healthy or nearly-healthy trees, they can add stress to sick or stressed trees.  Since the tree’s internal functionality is already compromised, adding products may even send trees into decline.

In the scenario above, conventional tree care practitioners don’t have the sensitive methods to identify exactly which of the “orchestra-like” interactions inside of a sick tree are compromised.  Even if they could identify internal dysfunctions, their products and tools don’t correct the inner workings or functionality of the tree.

Paradigm Busting

A “paradigm” is a generally accepted way of thinking.  For instance, in 1491 the European view of the world was that it was flat and ships would fall off the edge if they ventured too far.  In 1492, Columbus set sail.  Soon others circumnavigated a spherical world and the old way of thinking was “busted” in favor of a newer, more accurate way of thinking.

To summarize, this is a comparison chart showing a simplified version of contemporary, conventional thinking about tree health care and the new Plant Health Alternatives leading-edge thinking.

Conventional Thinking

Leading-Edge Thinking

“Trees are objects and plants are decoration.”

“Trees are alive!  Plants are alive!”

Coming from the human point of view.

Coming from the tree’s or plant’s point of view.

Practices are generally done outside of the tree or plant.

The Green Centrics system uses approaches that fix the tree’s functions from the inside-out.

Inside functionality of the tree/plant is taken for granted.

Inside tree/plant functionality is NOT taken for granted.

Wishful thinking is employed: “Hopefully the tree will heal itself.”

Internal tree functions are repaired and re-established so wishful thinking is not necessary.

>>>

Conventional practices are complementary and are used later to help keep the tree healthy.

Modeled after Human Alternative Health Care
The Green Centrics system is a holistic approach to tree and plant health that works toward the same ends as human alternative health care.

  • Rebuild inner tree functionality by removing blockages

  • Re-connecting internal tree functionality

  • Adjusting structural alignment of the whole tree

  • Re-directing patterns of energy flow within the whole tree

  • Green Centrics restores the dynamic balance among the thousands of interacting parts and inter-dependent functions inside of a tree or any other plant.

However, Green Centrics methodology does not try to copy human health approaches because humans and plants are fundamentally different.

Relevant Science

About 100 years ago, a new breed of scientists broke from the Newtonian physics of the previous 400 years because their experimental results with energy, particles and light did not fit into the Newtonian principles.  During the 1900’s, Quantum Physicists explored the nature of matter and of light determining that everything is energy and all matter is fundamentally connected.  Fritjof Capra, in his book The Tao of Physics,  was one of these quantum physicists to draw parallels between the new physics and ancient spiritual principles.

In the 1990’s, new, sensitive equipment and new human experiments revealed that that heart has as much neural tissue as the brain-in-the-head.  More than that, the heart has a measurable bio-electro-magnetic field which it generates.  This discovery lead scientists to declare that the heart is a brain, too.  As such, it is like radio technology: both a transmitter of information and a receiver.  Coherence between the heart-brain and the head-brain leads to enormous health benefits for people.

In the last 20 years, scientists world-wide have studied different aspect of what it means to be a living system.  In their search for a fundamental definition, they have explored a full range of systems including biological organisms as well as computer models.  Dr. Capra assembled and summarized all of their work in his book The Web of Life.  There are three fundamental criteria for a living system.

  • Trees/plants operate with a complex pattern of organization like a large orchestra.  They have countless interacting and interdependent parts and functions.  “Network Pattern.”

  • As an Oak begins as an acorn and grows into a massive tree, so it has a stable structure while dynamic changes occur constantly.  “Dissipative Structure.”

  • Not only do sunflowers follow the sun’s progress East to West during the day, but in the morning, they are waiting for the sun in the East again.  This is not human intelligence–the result of language and culture.  However, it is “cognition” in the same sense that a single celled animal in a Petri dish will go toward the food and away from the poison.  “Cognition as the Process of Life.”

Trees and all plants qualify in all three criteria.

top^

In fact, according to Dr. Lipton, every cell–whether animal or plant–is itself intelligent.  The membrane of cells must “decide” what to allow in and what to keep out.

When it first came out in the ‘60’s, The Secret Life of Plants was a best-seller.  It was full of history and anecdotal information about plants as living organisms and about the people who worked with them.  One of the most notable was Cleve Baxter…well known for hooking up his lie detection equipment to a houseplant in his office.  The results were amazing: the plant’s energy fields were detectable!  He has continued his work, extending it to other living organisms as well.

In Stephen Buhner’s book, find a wealth of information and accounts about the heart as an organ of perception and plants as generators of bio-electro-magnetic fields.  His bibliography is full of other references on this and other topics, too.

Thinking Outside the Box
Once the understandings about quantum physics, the human heart-brain and its field, plant bio-electro-magnetic fields, and cellular biology are in place, it is possible to make the leap to thinking outside-the-modern-box concerning tree and plant health care.

Because trees and other plants are alive–as are humans–that means the Green Centrics practitioner can work with the Life Force or growth energy of a tree in order to repair it from the inside-out.  Understanding this diagram is not a long leap if you accept that both trees and people are alive.

An Experience of Connection with Trees, Plants, Nature
In various presentations and classes, the Plant Health Alternatives, LLC, Founder, Dr. Jim Conroy, and the General Manager and Instructor, Ms. Basia Alexander, lead participants through a process by which they can have a personal experience of connection and deeper appreciation for trees, plants and all of nature.  Coming from the tree’s point of view is a skill anyone can develop…and an extraordinary experience.  Once a person has experience a sense of connection with plants for themselves, it’s easy to understand what a Green Centrics practitioner does to fix or “heal” trees from the inside-out.

Three Step Process
top^
Step One:

First, the Green Centrics practitioner finds out exactly what functions are not operating correctly inside of the tree, using a proprietary scientific checklist.  Dr. Jim Conroy developed this checklist that blends both modern science and ancient wisdom.  The checklist takes to account basic botany, physiology, local environmental factors, genetic components, chemistry, cyclical elements and energy dynamics. Just as flour, eggs and water sitting on the counter do not make a loaf of bread, the checklist components, by themselves, do not account for the life and health of the whole tree.  Now you can see why the relevant science discussed above is a pre-requisite understanding for this process.

For the practitioner, determining the exact dysfunctions inside of the tree means being able to:

  • have insight into the holistic interplay of systems,

  • understand the combined stress reactions,

  • have comprehension about dynamic flow of fluids,

  • have perception of the balance between chemical components,

  • use wisdom about the growth-inhibiting relationships,

  • use acumen concerning the galvanizing interactions,

  • and have intuition into reciprocal and inter-dependent functions.

The practitioner uses right-brain intuition, heart connection and subtle senses (“gut feelings”) to get the big picture.  That’s the hard part.

Step Two:

A caring heart, perception with subtle senses and a healing touch or tapping on a sick body part have been primary healing tools for humans back to pre-historic times.  Modern alternative health care systems for humans are using these techniques again with great effectiveness and in a complementary way with modern medicine.

The Green Centrics system borrows from the ancient philosophies and modern alternative healing techniques mentioned above to do the fixing or repair of the tree from the inside-out.  The second of the three steps is a hands-on process for the practitioner who determines very specific target areas on the tree to touch and tap.  With a clear sense of what is going on for the tree, the Green Centrics practitioner corrects or removes priority blockages or malfunctions.  He is, like a highly trained athlete, “in the zone.”

Step Three:
top^
The tree’s Life Force or growth energy pattern shifts from decline/shrinking into a growth/expanding pattern.  When the blockages are removed and the dysfunctions are brought back into dynamic balance, the tree heals itself as a whole living system.

Other Complementary Practices
This work is complementary with modern, conventional tree/plant care methods and techniques in that they can be used AFTER the three is healthy on the inside to KEEP the tree health from the outside.

Summary
Whether you’re a homeowner, plant professional or farmer, we assume you use appropriate products and the best practices that you can.  However, you know that despite your best efforts, plants and trees can still suffer from stress or go into decline.

As our company name implies, there are alternatives in plant care.  It’s a new approach, inspired by leading-edge discoveries in the new quantum energy and holistic systems sciences.  Our alternative treatments are based–not on products–but on services that care for plants from the “inside-out” and coming from the plant’s point of view.

Traditional product approach: you know that a stressed tree’s internal biology becomes compromised.  Standard treatments attempt to address problems using the external application of products.  Applying a product means working from the “outside-in” and waiting (and hoping) that the plant or tree will fix itself.  True, appropriate use of products is needed, but a tree or other plant can be too stressed to properly take up a product.

Our “alternative” approach:  we fix the plant itself, not the problem.  Our alternatives are not products but are treatments that work directly with the plant’s Life Force or growth energy to generate the repair of its internal biology.

Yes, it is possible to impact the health of plants—to fix stressed plants—by interacting with the dynamic growth energy of plants while coming from the plant’s point of view.

Green Centrics™ methodology is based on botany and environmental sciences. The founder, Dr. Jim Conroy, also drew from the latest thinking in quantum physics, cellular biology and holistic systems theory.  He combined that with certain insights and practices from ancient wisdom. The result is a series of skill-based techniques that can be used to determine what is not functioning properly inside of the plant or tree and in its environment…and then to fix it.
